    Which version of Adobe?

I went google on it and found a few hits indicating a problem with embedded fonts.

Personally, I have experience of Internet Explorer messing with Adobe PDF on Acrobat 6.0.6. Installing IE7 gave problems. When I tried IE8, it too gave problems. Have you made any changes to Internet Explorer? (Acrobat 9 works well with IE7/8.)

I use Norton Ghost to create images of my system. I used one of them to roll back.

I assume that you don't use any "backup software" other than System Restore which can be used to roll back to a date prior to installing IE7. It should also appear in "add/remove programs ". Which is to prefer? I don't know! I'd wait for someone else to chime in.

FireFox has been around for a long time and has worked well (as far as I know) with Adobe Acrobat. Which version of FF? (They are released by the minute these days ... ...)
