Socket Error:10060, Error Number: 0x80CCC0E

    The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'pop.windstream.net', Server: 'smtp.winstream.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 352, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

    I have searched everywhere for the fix to the above outgoing mail problem and have not been successful. My e-mail provider is Windstream and according to them, my problem is a "microsoft" problem and they can not suggest how to get this fixed. I can receive e-mail, but not send it. I am very frustrated... any help is greatly appreciated.

    I was actually trying a suggestion I read from somebody... I originally had 25 entered and still have no luck... Do you have any suggestions?

    Are you connected to windstream when you try to send? If you are connected to an other ISP this would be the error you receive.

    Yes, Windstream is the only internet service provider I have. I am simply entering Window's Mail and trying to create messages to send; which I can not and I encounter the error message. I have no trouble receiving mail.

    There's the mistake. It should be smtp.windstream.net.
