I'm a new dudette who is a novice who is learning about writing html adn not even sure if this is the right forum to ask this question. I've written simple html text in MS word 2007, saved it as a web page but it displays as html text when it in Internet explorer. Is there a setting I need to adjust to get it to display correctly. Everything displays as the html text even if I copy the html from a banner ad I created. It will not display as the banner. Any ideas on this one from the experts.

Are you saying that when saving a Word doc as an html file IE will display the html tags?

If so, don't use tags in Word. Word is not really an html editor, but it can generate html docs.

Just use Notepad and save the file as .htm or .html.

If I could jump through the internet I'd kiss you. Saving it to notepad as a .htm worked like a champ. Thanks ever so much
