    Hello All,

I came across a strange problem, it would be of great help if someone puts me out of this.

We have developed a software in our organization and got it build into an executable.Using the executable we in our organization are able to install it in our machine but, when we have hosted the same on our website for client to download it and install it in their machine , they are facing a problem as the first window after clicking on the setup says that the application publisher is an "UNKNOWN PUBLISHER" and are failing to install the software..

I am unable to reproduce the problem. Can someone tell me how to reproduce this on my machine and what can be the reason for which our client is able to reproduce it.

We have built and developed the software on Windows XP with SP2.

    Thanks in advance..

thanku Arie for the immediate reply.
I will go through the link and see if i can dig out something.

But the only thing surprising to me is, when things are working fine in our organization why is it failing at the clients place..

If you can give any further ideas on this is issue it would really be great.

    Thanks,
    Ujwala

That's easy: They most likely have a policy in place that will only allow software to install that is digitally signed.

You should of course digitally sign your software, to protect both yourself and your clients.
