System recently reloaded - WinXP Pro SP3 All Win Updates. No spyware and no viruses detected. Using Windows Defender, SpyWare Blaster, Ad-Aware Anniversary Pro, AVAST Pro edition. HP dc7700 Duo2 2.4 GHz. 2 GB RAM.

System ran one year without this problem. It starting showing up after a complete re-install of WinXP Pro.

Please suggest solution. Occurs when right clicking a file in windows explorer.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

May be due to a corrupted or incompatible shell extension - download ShellExView and disable all non Microsoft shell extensions. If the problem is resolved enable the non MS extensions one at a time, testing in between until the culprit is found.

It appears that after using the ShellExView utility, that a recent update of WinZip caused the problems. Time will tell.

    Thank you for suggesting ShellExView.
