    I have a 160gb sata hd

It powers up but don't show in bios my computer and in disk management.
I have also tried partition magic.

Most of my stat hd's, i use a docking station, i have tried other sata hd's and all work.

    Any ideas

If it's an internal drive try a replacement cable - if used in a docking station I suspect a problem with the drive or the connection between the drive and the docking station.. You could try installing it as an internal temporarily.

I have tried that, when connected internaly and on the docking station, there is power, but will not recognize, i have connected other drives and they work so the hd must be duff.
