OK. Directly from the woefully incompetent support in India I rec'd the following M'soft link on how to change the Stnd Admin acct type to Admin w/full control.
    http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/74603287-0ee9-4470-9a4e-3d791f95f4c61033.mspx

I went through it verbatim. I even created another Stnd Admin acct because it said the system had to have at least 1 Full Admin acct, but it still didn't allow me to copy files over my network from my desktop. I've given Full Cntrol on my laptop. I've got Norton 360 on the laptop, which I'm not at all very familiar with; although, a friend of mine helped me create a network where I could see the folders I want to copy data into. Those folders have Full Cntrol access, but still won't let me copy anything to them.

    Thanks,
    GPL

    Hi GPL,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team.

What version of Norton 360 are you currently using? Please let me know.

First, you need to make sure that you have created the user accounts on all of the machines on your network that you want to share files between. You will need to give those accounts proper access, and also make sure they are in the same Workgroup.

After you complete this step, you will need to configure the "Trust" control within Norton 360.

Let me know what version of Norton 360 you are using, so I can provide you with the proper steps to take.

If you are using Norton 360 version 1 or 2, and have a valid subscription, you are entitled to a free update to Norton 360 version 3, which I highly encourage. I can provide you with the instructions to update as soon as I hear back from you.

    Thank you,
    Mike
