Toshiba a215 s7514 laptop downgraded to Windows XP: No sound

    ive got a toshiba a215 s7514 laptop that i down graded to windows xp from vista now i gots no sound boss pleeze help me:confused::confused:

    You'd have to find the sound driver from the Toshiba web site.

    if Toshiba does provide for an xp sound driver in this case ( not unheard of)
    you may have to hunt down the driver
    It may be part of a chipset or motherboard driver - say nvidia
    it may be another company - say ac97
    The laptop makers generally do generally not make these components themselves but will hide this fact pretending everything is from Toshiba
    The belarc advisor may help you in finding the setup
    At the very very worst you could reinstall vista to let it tell you the setup

    There seems to be something wrong with the model number you supplied. There is at least a dash between the "a215" and "s7514 ", but that model doesn't show up in websearches.

    http://www.toshiba.co.jp/worldwide/index.html
    to find the drivers for your model. As mentioned, if there are only Vista drivers offered, you could try searching for drivers via the device's hardware manufacturer.
