Hello My daughter has somehow put all of her music on the desktop. There is an icon for all of her songs. I need to know how to get them off. I tried a system restore. no change. I tried to delete them and they came back. Can anyone tell me how to get them off? Thanks

    Try removing them this way:

Click the Windows Orb (Start), type Shell:Desktop and press Enter. Change the View to Details, identify the shortcuts and delete them.

Repeat the command using Shell:Common Desktop, just in case they have found their way into the public folder.

NOTE. The first command above is creating a smiley. It should be, without any spaces Shell : Desktop

  3. to hide this advert.

There's a checkbox to avoid that: Disable smilies in text.
