Hello from the other WA (Washington State)

My name is Frank Damp. I'm an experienced computer user from the days of Honeywell DDP124 and Singer Link assembly language.

I was a simulation engineer with Boeing for about 12 years and took early retirement from Boeing in 1998. I've been back a couple of times as a job-shopper.

My PC experience started when Boeing went into PCs for its engineers and I have had machines at home since 98.

I currently run an eMachines 3256 and a Dell Optiplex on a home wifi network, connected to the internet via Verizon DSL.

My other work experience has been as a transit bus driver.

I'm an ex-pat Brit and currently live in the seaside town of Anacortes.

I'm originally from Lancashire (home town Layland). My wife's family originates in Staffs, a little village called Wood Lane.

Before emigrating to join Boeing, I worked for Norton Villiers in Wolverhampton and we live in a small village called Coven.

My son went into computers much more than I have, and is now an MCSE and works for Dassault Systemes in Tokyo
