I had to do a system recovery with my Vista. All went well but I have a problem and not sure where to start.
On a normal boot up both Firefox and Internet Explorer are super slow. It can take 20 or 30 seconds to go between web sites.
Now if I boot up in the safe mode both browsers fly and work perfect.
Can someone tell me where to start looking to see what is chocking my browsers down in the normal boot up?

Hi Fred. What I would try is after your computer has finished booting up try shutting down all backround programs that are running in the system tray in the taskbar. More than likely one of your installed programs or one of your installed drivers is conflicting with the Internet Browsers.

You could also try this, click Start< Run and type msconfig and press enter. Under the Startup tab disable all the startup programs and reboot the computer. If your browsers start up without issues then go back into msconfig and re-enable each startup program one by one and reboot after you enable each one and test. It may be time consuming but this is one of the only ways you will be able to find the culprit thats causing your browsers to startup slowly. :)
