I recently replaced our business router as it stopped working.

We have a SBS 2008 with a static IP. When we replaced the router, we replaced all IP addresses in all compters in the network.

But there seems to be anumber of problems we cannot solve.

    1. Our email service using microsoft exchange server can only send emails if you login to the server itself, BUT you cannot send email from the other computer in the network using outlook, and cannot receive emails in all computer, including the server.

    2. Starting all computers in the network takes 20 mins. It will say "PLEASE WAIT" and you dont know when it will startup.

    3. Another ptoblem also is that I cannot remote access in the server which I need to do to view my files .

    4. The funny thing about it is that it still backups files to the network harddrive and also backsup to mozy.com regularly with no problems.

I upgraded my DNS with the new IP address but still no luck.

Can someone please help us out. I am desperate for a solution.

Some more information is needed. Why did you change all of the IP addresses?

We changed the IP address in each computer in the network based on what the router is giving us, but the IP in the modem stays thesame as it is a static IP. Hope this helps. Thanks for your reply.

1st off I wouldn't have changed the IP addresses in the computers. I would have changed the IP scheme in the router to match your existing network.

Tell me the change you made to the addresses. Did you go from say 192.168.1.xxx to 192.168.0.xxx or was it a bigger change like 192.168.1.xxx to 10.10.10.xxx

64.185.x.x is a public address not a private.
