Lost volume icon

    I no longer have a volume control icon in the taskbar. The sound properties in control panel has the "show icon in tray" box checked. I'm at a loss:confused:

    Go here: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm, go to line 320 on the left and click on it and download it to your desktop. It will be called NetVol. Right click on it and click on merge, then reboot and it will be there. Worked for me.
