Running XP Media - Office Pro 2003 - 2GB mem.

    All antivirus/spyware upto date.

Lastweek my outlook Began to freeze: It works for about 15 seconds and then freezes for about 1 minute and then works for about 15 seconds ...

It also freezes up all other programs that are running at the same time.

When you close outlook (eventually!) other programmes work.

I have tried a restore point to see if recent updates had caused it but no joy.

Someone has suggested that my PST folder may be too big? I have deleted loads of old e-mails and archived some stuff.

    Can anyone help?

i had consideredred one of these PC checking programmes but am not sure if this would be of any value or even make it worse?

    How big is it?

Try running scanpst.exe, Microsoft's Inbox Repair Tool.
