IE8 & WinRAR

    When I download a .zip or .rar file after downloading Winrar launches rather than writing the file directly to C:/Downloads, it did not do this before upgrading to IE8. I have looked through all the options and can not find the option to change or what IE8 changed. What am I overlooking?

    Not too helpful to you as you appear to be running Vista, but in XP SP3 with IE8 RC1 a zip file downloads to the location I specify and WinRar does not open.

    When I did that it downloaded to a file under my name and within that were more files of which download was found there and in that was Rar! I have Vista Home Premium.

    Yes, I am running Vista Ultimate Ed.. Its also doing it on an XP laptop as well.
