Windows Vista Text & Icons- (Re-)Size Problem

    WIN VISTA Home Prem; Gateway GT 5408 PC; Recently started having strange problem with text & icons re-sizing by themselves.... every time I start or restart PC, desktop comes up normally... within 5 seconds, all desktop icons & text re-size to a larger size... only way to reset it is to manually start & stop a screensaver..... any suggestions as to what's causing problem? Tx

    Tx for the info... the apparent cause of problem appears to be related to an invalid s/w update I installed for my Logitech webcam... correct s/w version corrected problem.... but tx for the response & another bookmarked site...
