I loaded a symantic virus scan on my computer with an XP operating sytem. After loading and scanning the computer it shutdown. Now I can't log back into the computer. Windows keeps shutting down with a message closing network connection. The computer use to be on a network but now it is not. What can I do to stop it from shutting down.

    Hope someone can help?

Can you boot into Safe Mode? If so try a System Restore to a point prior to tangling with Symantec.

Do you have a full XP install CD? Your best option may be a Repair install.
