I exchanged computers lately and all the folders in documents and settings are titled with a month and year. I can't correct this with the right name of the folder My husband had the computer before me and he doesn't know how this happened. Can someone give me some advice?

    Hi deester,

I'm not sure I understand what you are describing.

Possibly your no longer seeing the name column or the name column is no longer the first column listed on the list bar. Make sure your view is set to details.

Right click on the list bar (the bar that contains the columns view settings that you have set, such as "name" "size" "date modified" "atribute" etc)

The "entitled" column sections can be customizably organized or rearranged to be shown in which ever order you desire. They can be grabbed and dragged or using the rightclick customized they can be moved up or down in the list.

Make sure the "name" column is the first column shown in the order list or is moved to the top of the list.

    Tip:
To resize the columns, in case one happens to be shrunken to such a state as to appear to be hidden, click in the colomns bar and hit the keyboard combo of cntrl + the numeric keypads plus sign.

    ---------------------------------------------
Perhaps if you describe the problem in a different manner or more detailed way or by taking and sharing a "screenshot" of the problem, the problem may be understood more clearly.

Attached files, such as screenshots, are only allowed by subscribed members. An alternative would be posting pic on another site, e.g. Photobucket and post the link (URL) of the page/picture here.

Thank you for your response, I really don't understand your directions. It is me and not your directions. I need very basic directions at times and this one of those times. See if this helps you understand what I'm trying to explain.
Apr2005_d3dx9_25_x64 is the name on the folder.
Apr 05 is on the icon
Does the clairfy my problem at all?
