only white cursor display at corner.....when start computer...

    when i start computer only white cursor is display some times bios screen display and then again only wihite cursor display and sometime it load windows and hang it after some minute what the problem how to repair it i have intel 945 mother board i had change the hardisk and this hardisk work fine in another computer i thought there is some bios or mother board problem i also check this ram in another computer is work fine. what the problem in that tell me please.....

    If you haven't reseated the HDD cable connection at the motherboard, do so. Check using another cable.

    Remove any PCI cards or other added hardware. Go into the BIOS setting and choose to reset to defaults.

    Replace the CMOS battery.

    In the BIOS, check if there is a setting to identify the HDD.

    i had change the cmos and also change the HDD cable but the problem is still continue .the white cursor display before the bios start and again display after show bios screen. bios can detected hard disk but not boot the operating system. what to do for that....

    Thanks Lukeno1, unfortuately I seem to have lost track of this thread.

    kushalmeshram probably covered most of my suggestions. After those I would start to suspect that there was a problem with the Master Boot Records (MBR) on the HDD. I don't THINK the dive would be broken (I have always recovered from it) , but the next step would be to start testing the drive with the HDD manufacturer's testing utilities. It may also depend on if the utilities can recover from the particular problem. It might depend on how desperate you are to recover data.
