I'm trying install the Weather Channel back on this laptop. When I get to the User Agreement Window, that window does not show enough to allow me to click on the "I accept." In other words, the bottom part of the window does not show the words "I accept" ...

I can see most of it, but there is no way I can see enough of it to get pointer to that particular spot to accept the agreement.

Anyone with an idea as to why that window shows up in such a size as to not let me see all of it?

Just passing through and know nothing about the weather channel or the if this is in IE or a boxed ie. If IE you can hit the F11 keyboard key which shrinks and hides toolbars allows more page to be displayed. When done just hit the F11 key again.

Maybe move the startmenu down or hide it temporarily.

    Hope this helps.

goddez1, thank you for your suggestions. I did as you suggested, but still a no go. This is totally weird and wonderful to say the least. If you happen to come up with something else, I'm listening. Thanks!

Are you talking about weather .com?

In any case, this is what I assumed and the url I went to. I had no problem seeing the entire page in IE8 however fire fox was not allowing me to see anything beyond the tippity top of the map. I had to hit the toolbar and reload the page from that. An F5 refresh didn't do it. Finally I got the whole page to display.

Perhaps if you do the same and use IE's toolbar option of view>refresh, or possibly use a keycombo of cntrl F5

I just noticed in an older but recent post you were having plugin conflicts. Perhaps that's another possibility.

If you care to share the url your using, I'd be happy to check it out and see if I have similar issues.

If you are using a wide screen laptop this scenario happens from time to time - I get the same updating Avira on my Eee PC widescreen netbook.

Two possible solutions - maximise the window if you can and scroll or temporarily change the resolution to 1024 x 768, i.e. 4:3 format.

Thanks PeteC for the efforts. I've tried enlarging the screen, and then the screen resolution to 1024 / 768. The latter made the User Agreement Window waaaay wider but did nothing vertically.

If you come up with something else as to why this is happening, I'll await your reply.

I am going to be away from this computer till Tuesday supper time. Hopefully by then, we'll have come up with something to overcome this.

Did I mention that I am using IE8 with Vista Home Premium.

Thanks again for coming in on this. Appreciated!

I had similar problem with reserving items at library, last line "reserve/cancel" didn't appear.
Clicking "Tab" several times did the trick. Might work for you.

Thanks for the reply Neil. Do you mean that I should repeat clicking on the same tab over and over, or something else?

I've tried that Neil, but it does nothing. I've put new released version of IE8 on this laptop, but I still have the same problem.

I can hit the enter button and I can install the program, but what's got me buffaloed, is why the User Window Agreement window does not show the *I accept* ..........
