    Hello everyone!!

I had to format my daughters eMachine and when I did I partitioned the 80GB Hard Drive to 15GB and 65GB. Installed everything and when I went to "My Computer" I see the C Drive in the "Hard Disk Drivers" section, but not the other partition.

Is there a way to locate the other partition, while XP is running? Or is there another way of finding and having the system recognizing that the HD is partitioned?

    Thanks!

You will need to format the drive to see it. You can do that in Disk manager.

Start > Run > type diskmgmt.msc and press enter or click OK.

This does not have a thing to do with your problem, but have you changed the Power Supply , if not post PS brand. The PS eMachine Desktop normally used will fail and take out other components, (its not if it is when).

It is a T3985 eMachine and I have replaced the PS supply sometime ago. I replaced due to what I have read about eMachines; which is that the original PS in those machines will fail and cause damage to the rest of the system. So, I replaced it with a antec 350 PS.
