Is it worth installing? I mean, Vista is still relatively new and I like it. What's the big difference between the two?

If you look over the Internet for reaction to Windows 7 you will find it well received and a significant improvement on Vista. OTH Vista was not and is not well received and many, myself included, have stuck with XP.

You'll find much more information HERE a Windows 7 forum.
I like Vista very much but I shall have no hesitation to moving on to 7 as soon as it is released. I am already running a pre-release version on one machine and I'm impressed. Just as an example, there is no more need for an extra back-up programme, it is built into 7 and will back up files or the OS to an external HD faster than True Image.

I use 7 and XP but my mom runs vista on her laptop and so far, I'm impressed with 7. It looks good, performs good and with a box with 3 gigs or more ram, it performs great. Although, I can't say much about the minimum requirements as my system is pretty top notch. Surely if you're running Vista successfully, it should work no probs. Just be prepared, you might need to have a copy of your network adaptor drivers for vista to install on 7.

I have an Altheros 1Gbps adaptor and I needed to install the 64bit drivers for vista for it.

All in all, I think it runs better than vista. :D

Also note that Win7 is only in beta right now, so you shouldn't be installing it unless you know full well the risks involved in running beta software.

Vista Business version certainly has a full backup utility: Program, Accessories, System Tools, Backup Status and Configuration, Complete PC Backup.

Otherwise, having made a few adjustments to it, especially to remove its nagging, I find Vista excellent. In my view, denigrating Vista just became a fashionable schoolyard chant - until it became received wisdom which even infected Microsoft
