Hi all, I had my Vista Ultimate set to Computer go to sleep in 1 hr. to save power while I am not using it, and it seemed to work OK for a while but now half of the time it will not wake up and I have to do a forced shut down.
I have changed back to my old setting of never, but would like to know just the same if there is a way to overcome that situation.
    Thanks

Hi Matt, thanks for the reply, this is a socket 939 Gigabyte Motherboard and it has the latest BIOS with the latest Chipset drivers from Gigabyte.
No I have tried every key on the keyboard and the power button, reboot, no joy only way is to hold down the power button to shut down.
I have also Googled this issue and there are just too many hits out there to read them all, for every fix that one person comes up with there are six who report it did not fix it for them. Microsoft have a Patch for it as well, but the only report on it is that it actually makes things worse.
There is hope that SP2 might resolve it.
A very common answer also is especially with HP machines if they use USB Keyboard and Mouse to change to PS2 but that is what I am using anyhow.
I am not greatly concerned about it as I changed it to Never, but it is a nagging Vista problem to many people especially those in a business environment.
