My computer crashed backed to factory specs. I had installed Onecare on 12/08/08. The last backup was 12/16/08. I am /was using a 160 gig "Rock" for backup.
I have managed to get my system working again. The Onecare thinks it's in the 90 day free stage and I cannot get the Backup to work. I have tried to reconfigure it to no avail. I need help with 1) getting my OS to recognize the Onecare from 12/09/08. 2)Reinstalling all the missing data and3) getting my "rock" external hard drive to work.
I am not very technical so please be as simple as possible. Thanks, lepayton

P>S> I use Vista 32 bit with HP hardware.

i'm assuming you've got a valid copy of onecare and an active subscription.
if so go here and see the section:

Add a PC to your subscription or reinstall Windows Live OneCare
Already a Windows Live OneCare subscriber? Learn how to reinstall Windows Live OneCare on the same computer, install it on a new computer, or form a Circle of Protection on up to three PCs here.

and click the link to reinstall. once it's activated to full version and not trial the restore should work.
