When logging off, I get end program message for what seems to be "undo" program. Computer shuts off when I click on end program now. This computer is running window xp with service pack 3. Its a Dimension 4300 computer running with Iolo anti virus program.

    Hello Frank,

Pretty basic steps to find out what is still running and being fussy about shutting down in a timely manner when it is told to:

    Prior to logoff:

Bring up taskmanager and on the applications tab and on the processes tab see what is listed as running. Does anything look like it may relate to "undo "?

    Check Systray icons

Download ransack, a better search engine than windows built in:
    http://www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack/Page.aspx?page=download

    and once installed make sure
    See:
To make sure you have the ability to view hidden files by adjusting preference options in....
1>Click on My Computer icon or right click startbutton and choose "explore ".
    2>click on menu toolbar> "tools "
    3>click on "Folder options "
    4>click on "View" Tab:
5>and scroll to the [Hidden Files and Folders] section and enable or disable the options below by unchecking or checking as designated:
"Do Not show hidden files "=unchecked (or click the "show hidden files ")
"hide file extensions for known files "=unchecked
"hide protected system folders "=unchecked (optional, users choice)

then do a search for undo. See what comes up.

Hi frank56. It sounds like you have a non responsive program thats not exiting when you attempt to shut down the computer. Read this, Auto End Tasks in Windows XP.
