Hello all, I'm having issues getting the message tracking to work. However, I'm not entirely sure it's not working and that my Backup Exec test e-mails aren't going through it correctly. Here's the error I'm getting when trying to track a message.

"The tracking database on sbserver.abc.local is not available or the message has left the Exchange Organization ".

    Things I've done to troubleshoot:
    • Enabled Message Tracking in the server System Manager properties
    • Ensured that the current user has full rights to the log folder
    • Make sure the Exchange Message Management and Exchange Routing Engine services are enabled
    • Made sure the SMTP virtual server is on

My server is running SBS 2003 with Exchange installed but without using it for E-mail. So basically it's just used as a SMTP virtual server and I'm using it to route Backup Exec notifications through it. The log folder is also empty after I send a test e-mail from the backup notification. Any ideas?

Alrighty then, looks like I fixed it 15 minutes later lol. I needed to activate one more service which was the Microsoft Exchange Attendant service. Thanks all.
