Windows Vista local disk prop on vista

    uh oh. Laptop is only 1 1/2 years old. I need to figure out why my local disk is showing 135GB used and 3.32GB free YIKES!!

    Can you tell me what is using it up. I have itunes- more podcasts than music. I have lots and lots of pictures on here. Some video. The last video big video I took was 13.33 mins long and size is 696MB. Now I have two video programs, I think they are loaded on both, so that would mean double space right?

    Where should I look and what can I look into to delete to get this cleaned up?? TIA

    You can use the freeware TreeSizeFree to scan your drive and display all the folder sizes. That will give you some insight as to where the bulk is located.

    try using du from sysinternals. Its very similar to a command that I use on Linux and UNIX systems.
