Windows Vista icons disappear

    My desktop icons disappear and a rt. click brings them back...usually in a backward order. Second rt. click puts them in correct order.

    Also desktop screensaver, i.e., photos, sometimes appear in black and white instead of color.

    Updated all drivers for Dell and Samsung monitor.
    Appreciate your help.

    Does the same thing happen if you disable Areo and Vista themes and just us the Basic Windows (old school) settings?
    Do you have HW acceleration enabled fully?
    What is your current graphics setting configured for? Size / color depth.

    Not sure if reply went through. I am using Windows Classic. Settings are as rec. by Samsung @ 2048 x 1152. Custom icon @ 141. Using Vista Home Premium.
