    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

It's not a problem as such - it's an indication that there is an error in the html code for the page.

If you doulbe click on the icon you will see details of the html error. For example, on this reply page on WindowsBBS I have the same icon - double clicking on it gives details of the html code error (Screenshot from IE 8)

It is not something that you can put right - IE is advising that there is an error on the web page that you are viewing. This is commomplace and of no cause for concern.

You can always try hitting F5 or the Refresh button in case something was lost in transmission, but I doubt it will make any difference.

If it really bugs you turn off the Status Bar .....

View > Toolbars and uncheck Status Bar

If you do not see the Menu bar - not shown by default in IE 7,8 right click adjacent to the Home icon and check Menu bar.

I might add that enabled the status bar has value. For one, it displays the ACTUAL address (URL) of a link when you place the cursor on top of one.

This is especially useful when scanning through search results pages. The link in the search results may say "Remove XYZ Virus" but the actual URL may be something like:
    Code:
    http://www.26778xgggxxx.ru/XYZ/xyz-remove.php
Now, do you really want to go to that Russian Web site?

The status bar also displays icons when there are page errors. This is extremely useful in determining if there's something wrong with your computer or if the problem is caused by the code in the Web page.
