I got a new Belkin F6C550VA after charging and plugging to USB found that it was not recognized in power management by Windows XP called Belkin support and they say I need to install their really junky Bulldog software. so is there any way to get XP to recognize the UPS w/o instal of that horrid Bulldog?

I doubt you'll get Windows to "see" the UPS, but that doesn't really matter, as long as it works.

    belkin not recognized by xp

after talking to the wretched belkin tech support- outsourced naturally to India. final vote is -- ya gotta install their little PMS and it works fine it is not that horrid Bulldig, but it is weird that they build a great backup and on purpose make it so that no Windows OS will recognize it.
