    Hi

I have built my own computer and about a month ago, I installed Windows XP SP3 onto it and partitioned my HDD.

Does anyone know whether I can detect the second partition from the partition I have XP installed on?

I havent been able to in the space of a month

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

If you created the second partition correctly, it should show up in My Computer or WIndows Explorer.

Did you format the partition and assign a drive letter?

    Check in Disk Management ....

Start > Run > diskmgmt.msc > Enter is the quickest route.

The short safe answer is yes, the limit is 4 primary partitions.
