    Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to set restrictions on what users on a Windows XP computer can do?

I really need to get some restrictions put onto accounts on my computer

If you have XP Home, you are greatly restricted in what you can do.

If you have XP Pro, click on Start->Run and type: gpedit.msc
Be very carefull what you do in there and Not restrict yourself;)

Another way in Pro is to right click on the properties tab of an .exe, data file, etc and set permissions for which user is permitted to use it and in what way.

    found a solution!

    hi,

after starting this thread, i remembered about a windows programme that you can download that allows you to set ALOT of controls over users. If you search for "windows steady state" you should find it
