Trouble with Monitor in a constant hibe/sleep mode

    Hello, this is my sisters co-workers home PC. I guess she got a virus, then did a System Restore. I'm sorry about only having this mush info. The problem now is
    it seems that the montor is in a constant hibernating/sleeping mode. all cords and wiring are fine.....computer is working fine - but monitor keeps going black/.... any help will be helpful. I'll try to get more info if needed.

    Hi Paul. Have you looked in Control Panel< System and Maintenance< Power Options? Try setting all the power options to never. Does the monitor still go to sleep after performing the above step? Can you try a different monitor? Have you tried updating your graphics card drivers?
