I run Windows XP on a Dell laptop and I have a Brother MFC-7840w four in one printer.

The default email scan is to Outlook. I don't like Outlook. I want to scan to my yahoo email account but Brother's customer support said the application name I have to find is yahoo.exe.

I have yahoo email and yahoo messenger but a search of my program files and folders show no yahoo.exe.

I've looked on the Yahoo web site but their skimpy help isn't turning on any lights for me.

I am simply looking for the pop2 or smtp that will get the Brother to scan from my yahoo email account.

    Thanks in advance

AFAIK, you cannot scan to the yahoo mail server from your comp. If you have a paid for yahoo email account and use outlook express or outlook, you can scan to one of those installed programs. Free yahoo email is webmail, the mailbox is on yahoo's computer, not yours.
