    Hello
I have a Windows 2000 Pro machine at home that I am sharing a HP Printer on.
I have a Laptop with Windows XP on it.
I want to be able to maintain connection to the printer on the Windows 2000 Pro machine.
I can find the printer on the network and connect(after entering a valid user name and password) and connect to the printer.
If I log out the xp machine and relogon then I can no longer access the printer ( states that I do not have access rights to the printer)
How do I set this up such that it automatically logs on to this printer.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!1

    Printer network settings..?

Try setting the permissions on the printer open to all users of your Lan. Free rights.
Which means you no longer have to sign on to the printer, only the Lan. After you sign on to the Lan you have certain rights, limited or administrative, you set that up to what you want.

But reset the rights to the printer.
