Security Update for Windows XP (KB946648)

    Security Update for Windows XP (KB946648). I keep getting this message when I try to update. Would appreciate advice. Thanks

    Some clarification please ....

    Have you installed the update yet still get offered it? ... or ....

    You are querying if you should install the Update?

    Security Update for Windows XP (KB946648) The update is only for those systems running Windows Messenger - you may not use it, but it is installed by default.

    I don't use it and one of the first steps I take with a new install is to remove it .....

    Uninstall Windows Messenger
