    Win2K Professional

    Don't know how it happened.

Every time I boot up or use certain programs that access the All Users folders I get the dialog box:

"Document and Settings\All Users\Desktop is not accessible "
"This folder was moved or removed "

And even some programs/games will not install. When it gets to the point where it will create the normally installed shortcuts, it then fails and the installation ceases.

Do I have to re-install Win2KPro to rebuild the folders? I have installed Service Pack 1 so it would be a chore!

    Thanks

Desktop folder is editable, so you should be able to rebuild it.

    Ok. Thanks for your input.

Sorry, should have mentioned this explicitly before. ALL of the folders under "All Users" are missing.

I did add back the "Desktop" and now upon reboot there is no longer an error message.

BUT...what about the other folders that are not there. I have no idea what folders are missing.

All I can think to do is to copy the folders from another User and then just delete whatever files are in those folders beneath "All Users ", thus rebuilding my folders.

Favorites, Start Menu, Documents are editable. I'd be inclined to not tourch Application Data.,
