    nope

The scsi has it's own bios for bootup via the scsi adapter card so your cheeta is on it's own speed cycle:)

    follow up

In the grand scheme of things, a scsi boot drive & an ide boot drive with win98 & me + linux can be diff to select what to first boot to. The scsi is by default yours. If you were to install winxp, i no you didn't mention xp, imho this would setup a boot manager menu & let you "arrow" to your choices. I'm not sure if ME will do the same managing? In either case you may want to find a third party ute such as system commander or pq bootmagic to handle this prob.:D BTW post back how it works out!

According to Microsoft, their operating systems have to be installed with the earliest one first.

In your case, Me would have to be on the boot disk/partition after which you may install 2000 on the next disk/partition and a start up menu will be generated automatically without the need to resort to to third party utilities such as System Commander or BootMagic.

I will pass on the "Linux" part of your query as I am not familiar enough with it to give advice.
