Outlook Express Time Out Error

    My Outlook express hangs when trying to receive mail. It says "authorizing" and waits and after sometime it says there was no response from the server asking if it should wait or stop. When I say stop it gives a window message saying that the server timed out. As per help, I tried extending the time out to a maximum of 5 minutes and that did not help.

    This is Windows XP.

    Is there anything I can do to solve the problem?

    Hi Moorty
    What kind of connection do you have? Any chance this is a server problem? Perhaps call your ISP and ask if they've been having outtages?

    Outlook Express Time Out Problem

    The connection is 56 k. There is no problem with server, because I could get mail on Netscape 7.

    Perhaps try deleting your mail account and then re-creating it?
