Anyone know if the Creative Audigy sound blaster card will work in a
    vista 32/64 system.

I had one in a previous PC and it worked great but the PC now belongs
to my daughter. The current X-FI cards do work but sounds very horrible
    when compared to the audigy.

    thanks,
    savagcl

Sound cards & drivers have been a hugh problem for Vista....You'll need to look on the makers web site to see if they have drivers.

I have an Audigy in my system, and it works fine with Vista. The card is something like two years old, and when I did the upgrade to Vista Home with the upgrade disk, it recognized it and loaded the proper drivers. I havent noticed any sound issues either.

I've used both Audigy and X-FI cards in the past and am currently using an X-FI card in my Vista box. I don't know what you've been listening to but the X-FI is a better card.

    ;)

savagcl, have you ever tried or even heard of "ASIO4ALL "
unfortunately it does not work with all Windows Media Players I use it with "foobar2000 media player and the sound is remarkably better fuller, you may say.
Google for it and read all about it and you may even like it.
