FFx 3.0.5 Bkmarks Don't Hold Sort Cmd

I've gone into Organize Bkmarks and told it to Sort by Name, A-Z. It does it initially, but it never retains it. IE7 can manage it, why can't FFx?

CAN SOMEONE PLS HELP ME WITH THIS? I've got a TON of Bkmarks, and it's quite frustrating that IE7-8 will automatically sort...and keep them sorted.

I do ok as I have my bookmarks (I don't like to have been alphabetically), but check this.

 

I did that Westside, and they did sort on that menu, but once I went back to the menu where I normally choose them, they were no longer sorted. It's like I'm missing another setting, or some file is corrupted.

I can't remember when sorting has ever worked. Since I do my own sorting, it does not matter, but I agree that it may be a problem.
If this is important to you, try this add-on . I never tried it.

I don't know if what I quoted below works in the present version.
