keyboard issue [Spacebar inserts multiple spaces]

    ok...forgive...the...dots...you...will...understand...in...just...a...sec...it...is..a..short...term7...solution...to...m7y...prob5lem7....o...look...at...that...you...can...already...see...m7y...orginal...prob5lem7...ok...first...if..i..hit...the..space...b5ar...it...goes...flying...and...takes...awhile...b5efore...it...stops...so...to...m7ake...this...go...faster...i...am7...using...the...dots...sorry...second...prob5lem7...is...the...letter...num7b5er....com7b5o...b5ut...only...on...a...few...i...have...found...that...the...following...are...prob5lem7s...b5...m7....z`...,8...

    ok...my...son...said...his...dad...had...the...same...problem...(i...am...fixing..problem...as...i..type)...he...said...after...an..hour...of...trying...he...found...it...to...be...just...one...or...two...buttons...being...clicked...and...it...fixed...the...problem....but...guess...what?...he...can't...remember....which...buttons...i...have...a...wireless...keyboard...and...mouse...and...have...reset...it...and...batteries...and...all...that...any...suggestions?...I...have...had...a...computer...for...many...many...years....and...NEVER...came...across...this...problem...before...I...am...baffled...lol...I...could...not...figure...out...how...to...find...the...thread...for...the...safe...mode...uninstall...thing...i...clicked...on...the...thread...and...it...took...me...some...where...else...:(

    plugged....the...other...keyboard....in...no...problems...this...one...still...has...the...problems....any...suggestions?

    OK, so if I read correctly another keyboard is OK, so the fault lies with the wireless keyboard.

    Either a hardware or software fault .....

    Check the positioning of the wireless transmitter - is it close to a magnetic source ? (CRT monitor - computer power supply)

    Uninstall and reinstall all the software relating to the keyboard in Add/Remove Programs with a reboot in between.

    Try the keyboard on another computer if you have access to one and see if you get the same behaviour.

    well...this...is...gonna...sound...stupid....but...i...dont...know...which...one....is...for...the...keyboard...?...I...have...a...microsoft....wireless...keyboard...and...mouse...so...not...sure...how...to...uninstall...it?

    Intellitype is keyboard, intellipoint is mouse assuming you have MS products - for other makes I have no idea :)

    BTW - if the other keyboard works why not use it :confused:
