so, I checked what's this mousekeys thing is, and then turned it off.

Only, it keeps coming back at each start-up.

so now, whenever I restart my computer I hit alt+****+numlock to diable it and feel stupid.

anyone knows why it's still enabled, and how I disable it for good? (the control panel accessibility does nothing)

a different board gave me the solution
the flags registry key needs to be 62 for off, 63 for on.
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\MouseKeys
