Hoping this is OK and in the right place.
I don't have a problem in the normal sense. My problem is that I am looking for a good, usable Windows 98 or 98SE disk to be used on an older AMD powered HP machine for older games. Must be able to be activated because I don't want to have to reinstall all the time. Also will be going online at times to download old games.
Before anyone says anything, I already know that it is outdated, but this is a secondary machine that I am just wanting to tinker with. It was given to me and still runs fine(AMD 2200 built in 2002, HP Pavilion 524w, 1GB RAM)

What's it running now? You may find you have the setup files already?

Failing that then I'd say Ebay was your best option.

Currently has XP Home SP2 installed.Same OS as my primary machine except primary has SP3 and better defenses in place. The person that gave the AMD machine to me didn't know about that stuff. Already knocked out about 750 tracking cookies and assorted other nastier items that don't need to be on any machine of mine.
And it seems he wasn't a big fan of defragging. Ultimate Defrag showed 46.7% fragmented.Took over 2 hours on that alone after the cleanup.(And he wondered how come it was slow).
