    Hi!

just would like to know if the maximum amount of memory that windows vista could recognize..

before i have 6gb (Kingston PC667) of ram plugged into my motherboard and when i check my system, it just recognizes 3.25GB of RAM...

yesterday i plug my new Corsair Dominators (4 x 1GB XMS2-8500 1066MHz) and when i check my system, it recognizes 4GB of memory...

the next thing i did was, i unplugged my dominators and put back my Kingston 6gb memory and when i check the system, now it recognizes 6gb of Memory..

i would like to ask if it recognizes the 6gbm that means my PC will work much better?..

also i would like your to take your advice if i have to go for my kingston 6gb Memory pc667 or go for my corsair dominators 4gb 1066MHz?

because as far as i have know, vista 32bit only uses 4gb maximum amount of memory..

    help pls.. :)

    Hi lander...
Is Windows Vista seeing this 6.0GB or is this in the BIOS? In laymans terms...from my expierience Vista 32bit as well as XP 32Bit 4.0GB RAM is the max and of that 4.0GB they will only see approx 3.25GB.

i would like to ask if it recognizes the 6gb, does it mean that my cpu works faster because i have 6gb memory? or still, vista 32bit will only use 4gb of memory?...

vista 32bit will only use 4gb of memory...

SP1 fixed the "display" issue where only 3.x would show up. 32bit OS's can't use more then 4..
