    Dear Sir,

    I am using following -
    O/S - WinXp Pro and
    MS Office 2003
    Ink Jet Printer (Wipro)

Whenever i print, i go for with a specific setting e.g. "fit to page" , "A4" , "360dpi" etc. etc..

But when i print other page immediately, these settings are not saved and all
    these get changed at once.

This is the case whenever i print.

Please tell me how to save these settings so that i have not to do all these again and again.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Gulam Dastgir

    Hi dastgir...

On my printer, HP DeskJet 952C, I do the following and it retains my settings even after a reboot...
    1) Get into "Printers and Faxes" folder
    2) Right-Click on your default printer
    3) Select\click "Printing Preferences "
    4) Make the changes that you want then click on "Apply" button

This method works for me. :)

    Dear Sir,

Sorry for keeping you unanswered for long, since i was away from home.
your suggestion worked partly for me. For whenever i go for printing for
same size material there was no change in printing setting, but as the size changes e.g. size of excel sheet, the printer automatically adjust itself.
This feature of printer is creating nuisance for me and I want to disable this.

    Regards,
    dastgir

    printer basics:

To globally set printer use the Printers applet in Control Panel.
Else must use the printer dialog for each print job to override global settings.
