I bought Office Outlook 2007 for my office as Outlook Express could not handle the e-mail load. To keep my life simple I realized I had Outlook Express installed on my home computer already, so I switched over at home to the version on my computer (2003, I believe) so I would have the same email both places. Here's the issue. At home when I go to my "SENT" folder, the header at the top automatically switches to display "TO" instead of "FROM" (just like my old Outlook Express email did). I am not talking about the way I sort, but about what is displayed. At my office, however, when I go to "SENT" the header remains the same as it is in the InBox, displaying who the e-mail is "FROM." So, when I go to my Sent folder and start to file my e-mails, I am at a time-wasting disadvantage because I cannot find a way to get that header to display "TO." It seems to be unchangeable. I can, of course, sort by whom the email is sent to, but unfortunately that doesn't help at all since they may be sorted by whom I sent them to, but I can't tell because the display still shows FROM. Do I have a defective program? It seems counterintuitive to me that Microsoft would have changed this on purpose. Thanks for any help or insight anyone might have.

    Hi frazzledout...

Just so I have it correct...are talking about Outlook 2007 on both your home and work PC's? I think you are so I'm going to go in that direction until you next responce.

OK...On my Outlook 2007 my "Sent Items" are sorted by the "To" which is Outlook 2007's default setting. Now if I want my sort to be sorted by the "From" you have to change the "Current View" from "Sent To" to "Messages ".

A quick way to do this is...
    1) Make sure you are in the "Sent Items" folder
    2) Click on "View" then "Current View "
    3) When you touch "Current View" another list will appear select "Messages" from the list and your mail will be sorted by "From "

    Another way...
    1) Click on "View" on the top toolbar
    2) Select "Toolbars ". When you touch "Toolbars" another list will appear...select "Advanced" from the list.
    3) A new "Toolbar" will be added to Outlook.
    4) Make sure you are in "Sent Items" folder then from the new toolbar click on the "down arrow" on the "Current View" window and change from the Default "Sent To" to "Messages ". Your messages will now be sorted by "From ".

    Hope this helps... :)
