windows picture and fax viewer has taken over

    I have Windows XP and all of my programs are now opening with Windows Picture and Fax viewer! I cannot open any programs. Can anyone explain what is happening here??

    It sounds like an .exe file association problem.

    Click Here to open a page with various file association fixes.

    Read the instructions at the top of that page for, first, using the .zip file association fixed so you can then get the exe file association fix, unzip it and use it.

    It won't hurt to do any of that and it will probably solve the problem.
