Hi oreil. Welcome to Windowsbbs! :) I am a little unclear about what your problem is. Could you clarify it? Are you having problems with IE7 or your internet connection? Please provide some more information so I can help you with whatever problem you may be having, thanks.

How do you connect to the internet (when using FF) Broadband/Dial Up/Via a router?

What error (if any) do you get when trying to use IE7?

And any error when starting IE7?

Ok, confirm a few things for me...

    You are using ADSL Yes/No?
Firefox works ok on the same system and same setup (eg not dual booting) Yes/No?
What model is your Speedtouch Modem?
    Who is your ISP?
Reinstalling IE7 makes no difference Yes/No?
What Registry fixes did you try?
Did you undo those registry fixes Yes/No?

Ok, please feel free to supply additional information :)

What happened when you tried to reinstall IE7? Have you tried IE8?

What did you do with Regfix 6, XPmedic and Regcure 1.5.11 and how did you undo it?

This is a software problem, can you think of anything that you may have done to cause this?

Did IE7 ever work, if so what happened between it working and not. If it wasn't that long ago can you still use a restore point to that time?

ok, temporarly reinstall IE8 and let us know if the problem still exists with that.

Do you have your XP Home CD available (not for a reinstall only a repair)?

Hi I did the repair option instead of repairing xp it installed a copy over the one I alredy had installed and and now I couldn't login I had to format and reinstall XP home again and now I have 30 days to actavate this copy of xp which is a problem because my activation codes and ID was on the old copy and anr I tryed a recovery program with no luck any ideas thanks

the console repair is not a good idea if you don't have actavation keys

If you have internet then activation should be easy particulary since you haven't changed any hardware

What problems do you have with activation?
