I have Internet Explorer 6.0 on my Windows XP computer. When I am on a web page, on the upper part of the screen on the right side there is a waving four-color thing. If I want to click on a link on this screen, should I wait for this waving thing to stop or could I click on a link while this waving thing is still in motion? What is the worst case scenario if I were to click on a link while this thing is still in motion? Thank you very much

That little banner is used to indicate that the site page you have requested is being downloaded to your screen. It should stop waving when the page has fully downloaded. Sometimes however, it may not get the signal to quit due to various reasons. If you don't choose to wait you can go ahead and click any link that you want without causing any problem. You may miss something that is trying to load but generally you'll be able to tell if the page is complete.

I normally hit the link right away if I know what I want.
